Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before registering for a Happy Dog Challenge. By completing your registration you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

📅 Last updated: March 2026

1. About Us

Happy Dog Challenges is a US-based company operating the website at happydogchallenges.co.uk. We run dog enrichment challenges exclusively for participants in the United Kingdom.

By registering for any Happy Dog Challenge, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with registration.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your registration will apply to that registration. We recommend checking this page before each challenge you enter.

2. Eligibility

  • Challenges are open to residents of the United Kingdom only.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to register. Participants under 18 must have the express permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf.
  • Each registration covers one rosette. You are welcome to complete the challenge activities with as many dogs as you like — the registration fee covers one rosette only. If you would like more than one rosette, simply register again for each additional rosette you wish to receive.
  • There is no restriction on breed, size, or age of dog. Challenges are designed to be accessible to all dogs.

3. Registration & Payment

Registration is completed via the form on the relevant challenge page. A registration is not confirmed until payment has been received in full.

  • The registration fee is £20 per rosette unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • You will receive a confirmation email containing your full activity list, printable log, and welcome information. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive this within a short time of registering.
  • By completing registration you enter into a contract with Happy Dog Challenges for the supply of digital challenge materials and, upon successful completion, a physical rosette.

4. What You Receive

Upon registration you will receive:

  • The full activity list with detailed, beginner-friendly instructions (printable PDF)
  • An official Challenge Activity Logbook (printable PDF)
  • Access to our Facebook page for updates and inspiration
  • Email support throughout your challenge
  • Upon successful completion — one physical rosette posted to your registered UK address

Digital materials are delivered by email. Physical rosettes are posted by Royal Mail to the UK address provided at registration. We are not responsible for rosettes that cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address being provided.

5. Challenge Rules

To successfully complete a challenge and qualify for a rosette, participants must:

  • Complete the minimum number of activities stated on the relevant challenge page within the challenge period.
  • Record a brief note for each completed activity in their activity log — just a sentence or two describing what they did. You may use our printable log or any format of your own choosing, including a notebook, piece of paper, or digital document.
  • Submit their completed log by the deadline stated on the relevant challenge page.

Activities may be completed in any order. There are no required activities — participants choose whichever 25 suit their dog, home, and lifestyle.

We operate on an honour system. We trust our participants completely. Photo evidence of individual activities is not required, though sharing photos on our Facebook page is warmly welcomed.

Your dog's safety and wellbeing must always come first. Never push your dog to complete an activity they are uncomfortable with. If an activity is not suitable, simply choose a different one.

6. Log Submission & Rosette

Completed logs may be submitted at any time once the required number of activities have been completed, provided the submission is received by the challenge deadline.

Logs may be submitted by:

We aim to review all submissions within 24–48 hours. Once a submission is approved, the rosette will be posted to the address provided at registration. Delivery is by Royal Mail and typically takes two to five working days within the UK, though this is not guaranteed.

We reserve the right to decline a submission that does not meet the minimum requirements set out in these terms. In such cases, we will contact the participant to advise what is needed.

Rosettes are non-transferable and issued to the registered participant at the address provided at registration.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

Because digital materials (your activity list and logbook) are sent to you immediately upon registration, your right to a statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply once these materials have been delivered, provided you consented to immediate delivery at the point of purchase.

We will, however, consider refund requests made within 14 days of registration on a case-by-case basis where digital materials have not been accessed. Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss.

No refunds will be issued after 14 days of registration, or where digital materials have been accessed.

If a challenge is cancelled by Happy Dog Challenges for any reason, all registered participants will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future challenge.

8. Participant Conduct

We want Happy Dog Challenges to be a welcoming, positive experience for everyone. Participants are expected to:

  • Treat other community members, and Happy Dog Challenges staff, with kindness and respect at all times.
  • Not post offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or misleading content on our Facebook page or in any communication with us.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in the best interests of their dog.
  • Not share, reproduce, or distribute the activity list or any other materials provided upon registration without our express written permission.

We reserve the right to remove any participant from our community and withhold their rosette, without refund, if their conduct is deemed to be in breach of these terms.

9. Liability

Happy Dog Challenges provides enrichment activity ideas for educational and recreational purposes only. All activities are undertaken entirely at the participant's own risk.

  • We are not responsible for any injury, illness, or adverse reaction sustained by any dog or person in connection with any challenge activity.
  • Participants should use their judgement and knowledge of their own dog when selecting and carrying out activities. If in doubt about whether an activity is suitable for your dog, consult your vet before proceeding.
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your participation in a challenge, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, indirect or consequential loss.
  • Our total liability to you in connection with your registration shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that registration.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Intellectual Property

All content provided upon registration — including the activity list, activity instructions, logbook, and any other materials — is the intellectual property of Happy Dog Challenges and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or share any of these materials without our express written permission. This includes posting activity instructions in full to social media, online groups, or any other public forum.

All content on the Happy Dog Challenges website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Happy Dog Challenges and may not be used without permission.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

As a consumer based in the UK, you also benefit from any mandatory protections provided by UK consumer law that cannot be excluded by contract.
