The Happy Dog
Enrichment Challenge
Complete any 25 activities from our menu of 60 activities across 8 enrichment categories, all beginner-friendly, and all designed around what dogs love most. Earn a beautiful real rosette posted to your door.
The Happy Dog Enrichment Challenge
The Happy Dog Enrichment Challenge runs throughout April and May 2026 (just £20 to join) and is designed for every dog owner in the UK, regardless of breed, budget, or experience. It is built on one simple idea: that the most enriched dogs are the happiest dogs, and that enrichment does not need to be complicated, expensive, or time-consuming.
You receive a menu of 60 carefully designed activities across eight categories from scentwork and foraging to training, calming activities, creative fun, and outdoor adventures. Your job is simply to complete any 25 of them between now and 31st May 2026, log what you have done, and submit your log by 31st May to claim your rosette.
Every activity comes with clear, beginner-friendly instructions. Some also include YouTube video links if you need more visual clarity. Nothing assumes prior experience, specialist equipment, or a large outdoor space. Many can be done with a cardboard box, a handful of kibble, and five minutes of your time. The activities are designed to suit nervous dogs, elderly dogs, high-energy dogs, tiny flat dogs, and everything in between.
When you have completed your 25 activities, send us a photo, PDF, or document of your completed log by email, Facebook message, or our website form any time you finish. Logs must be submitted by 31st May 2026 at the latest. We will review it within 24–48 hours and post your rosette directly to your door. It is that straightforward.

What You and Your Dog Will Achieve
Enrichment is not a nice-to-have. It is essential for a dog's mental health, confidence, and happiness. Here is what you can genuinely expect from completing this challenge.
Reduced Boredom & Anxiety
A mentally stimulated dog is far less likely to develop anxious, destructive, or attention-seeking behaviours. Many owners notice a calmer, more settled dog within days.
A Deeper Bond
Every activity you do together builds trust and communication. Dogs learn to look to you as a source of fun and security rather than just a food dispenser.
Greater Confidence
Problem-solving activities, new environments, and calm handling build a more confident, adaptable dog who copes better with everyday life.
Real Skills & Better Manners
Many activities teach genuine life skills — loose lead walking, impulse control, polite greetings, name recall — that make daily life easier and more enjoyable.
New Ideas You Will Keep Using
Many owners tell us the challenge introduces them to activities they continue doing long after such as sniff-led walks, snuffle mats, licki mats, and scatter feeding become lasting habits.
A Rosette to Be Proud Of
A real, physical rosette posted to your door. Something you and your dog genuinely earned. Many of our participants frame them, photograph them, and treasure them.
